I think if one looks closely at those that are the most vocal in promoting the socialist utopia in our country, he will find, for the most part, that the these proponents are in one way or another subsiding as beneficiaries of wealth redistribution themselves. Basically self-servers, these individuals need a "cause" to promote for the sake of "saving someone or protecting their rights".....all with the help of a transfer of wealth.....to themselves. Without any so-called "oppressed" these lazy bastards would have to work at real jobs.
How many volunteer their time of donate money from their own bank accounts????? Not many, I'd bet. But, flapping lips get attention and distract from the facts....and the fact of the matter is that socialists in the govt employ are paid well (very overpaid in most taxpayers eyes) and collect very healthy pensions to boot.
As beneficiaries, they are deathly afraid of common sense.
Ponder this thought: a liberal arts degree seldom brings equitable employment in the private sector.

Gulo,

You said....

"Emotions tend to run high.despite scholarly work "

Which work are we alluding to here ? The Freezer Institute or Canadian Federation for a Better Canada, you see it's not about scholarly work , it's about hearing only what you want to hear . Unfortunately GREED opens deaf ears !

You said....

". Don't forget, it was you who called me a "narrow minded red neck"

Your right I did call you a red neck but not for your political views , but your demeaning attack on Mr. C's physical disability. How would you like that done to yourself.......NOT

You said.....

"! And you think you have the right ideas for civil society?
"

NO ! I never said any such thing ! I am not in favour of either the Capitalist or the Communist position. How ever I am in favour of a free, honest and open debate that addresses the real issues of a society that puts PEOPLE first and profit second !

You said....

"against socialists is a result of the frustration non-socialists feel because their basic human rights are being violated"

What BASIC right are you referring to ??? Money !!! since when did money in any shape or form become a BASIC right. That's paramount to saying, in a society GREED is a basic right! It reminds me of one prof. I had who was famous for always saying " we are all born equal " I'm sorry to have to brake the news to ya all but we aint. there are more people on the Btm. and average side of the I.Q. standard then in the rino club. If you are on the btm. then your a failure, imperfect, not of blond hair and blue eyes, perhaps a waif that needs terminating. If your in the middle you may be tolerated. In any event not with my money !!!!. The cave man learned how to share in their fledgling society. To-DAY the yardstick is money, what a sick way to measure ones worth !

I'll try to answer your questions a little pit later got to check a few other things first. Oh ! by the way how come by the capitalists yardstick your a failure too !<<gg>> Didn't work hard enough eh!
Made some bad investments , not born in the right family, Hmmmm should talk to some one about that I'd say !<<gg>>
