Dear SP,
Here's your chance to change your fate.
1) figure out a commercial idea for Yew tree bark concept(can they mix it with gum and create synergy with their cold cure and gum business;?)
2) Get a patent (and maybe someone with a Phd to lend credibility to the concept)
3) contact Russell Brown of Gum Tech (if he's still working there), offer to do a JV with GUMM where they put up all the money, give you 40% equity and make sure you get some cheap warrants on GUMM stock. Get GUMM to provide the money to pay the PHd to do some study.....maybe they can creat a angle with its historic use by American Indian's.
After it plays out (presumably favorably) you can afford insurance like most american's, go to a real doctor and get legitimized treatment for cold's and not suffer a stroke.
Good Luck,
Mad2

One of the best immune stimulants and cold cures on the market is echinacea. This herb was first used by American Indians to heal wounds, treat burns and act as an antidote to snake bites. It has been shown to increase the levels of white blood cells, the natural killer cells of the immune system and is most effective if you take at least 900mg of root extract daily. Revitonil is a new product that contains an extract of echinacea root as well as liquorice - a natural cough cure - and aniseed and eucalyptus, which help clear a blocked nose. Echinacea herbal lozenges will help cure a cold with sore throat. All are available from health food shops.
