From what I have read about Texas and the role of its governor, Bush has very little actual responsibility. He is what is commonly called a "weak governor". This has positives and negatives. Bush couldn't really be blamed for the horrid environmental record or health care in Texas, but then he can't really take credit for any of the improvements made either. I believe that Bush is decent. I don't think he is probably one of the nicest and most affable people in American politics. However, I don't think one, that he has enough experience to be effective as President, two, that a much more malicious group of people are behind his candidacy, three, that it is these people who will pillage the coffers of the working and middle class American and leave this country nearly in financial ruin, four, that this small group of people are as close to evil as any human on the face of this planet, five that they pull Bush's strings.

If Bush had more experience and possibly was a little smarter these people would be a non-issue. A good leader could ignore such malignant people's influence and look toward the future. A good leader would make sure the country went in the direction of greatness and prosperity for the greatest number of citizens. Not the greatest amount of wealth for the fewest individuals. I see this as a battle to maintain America as a democracy and not an aristocracy.
