Canuck-l-head,

", Mr. Day doesn't have any physical features that cartoonists can make fun of. (Perish the thought.)"

How about "Foot in the mouth"

"You've never been self-employed, I suspect."

I'm glade you didn't say "ass u me"

"Sounds like you are very confused. <ggg>"

Why shouldn't I be...we are living in the age of mass miss-comunication. Never was the old saying been more true ....
Beleive only half of what you see, none of what you hear !

My concern about Stockwell is the creeping American influence in Canadian Society. He and Mike Harris look south for their ideas, and to many Canadians are fixated with the sports page to catch what is going on. This individualism that is being pushed down kids throats is going to come back to haunt Canadians, societies are strengthened by their collective abilities, that is not admired anymore.
The "I" syndrome has crept of the foot ball fields and into every day life, this is reinforced by athletes who break the laws and get "special" treatment. These attitudes are a precursor to a more violent society. Intolerance will be the next trigger !!! Compassion is now a dirty word much the same as liberalism has been made the dirty word of American politics.

United we stand divided we fall.

How simple but how forgotten !!!

Gerry

Lake Erie ...

Most water enters Lake Erie through the Detroit river at the western end and leaves through the Niagara river near the east end. One would think that this would cause the water to flow West to East. (The mouth of the Detroit is further south than that of the Niagara.)

One wouldn't expect people who don't live in the area to be all that familiar with the geography of the Great Lakes region. Too bad SD made the error: But it's worse that so many jumped on him for it. It's a common, honest, error.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. Niagara and Alaska are the two places one may stand on Canadian soil and look North to see the U.S.
