Hi Wayne, sorry for the confusion. My comment about buying being unrelated to the company was not in reference to BAY in the past. The point is that BAY is at a different stage from here on out. Most buying is done on the basis of potential. For instance it seems you bought the stock on the potential for increased reserves. Once that was known the next source of potential was a takeover. The question is, what will the next source of potential be? I'm not saying it will be definately the POS but I think its important to try to assess the reason for buying. If the volume and price increase with no change in the POS then probably a takeover is the reason. If the stock seems to follow the POS then probably that is the reason. Knowing why people buy a stock can indicate why they will sell it. As far as buying the rumour and selling the news is concerned, that has always been a factor in Junior stocks. I went through this numerous times with Mar-West. Everytime they released good drill results the volume increased tremendously but the price wound up lower. I read a newspaper interview about that time with a long time junior resource investor and his strategy was to buy during the lull between drill programs and ALWAYS sell just prior to the release of results. His reasoning was that if the results were bad the stock would tank immediately and if the results were good the stock would drop gradually because there was no potential for more price boosting news until the next phase of drilling was completed which might be 6-12 months away.
