One of the funniest things I have heard was that one day at the Peoples Express airline gate two men came up pushing a man in a wheelchair. He had a hat on, a scarf around his neck, etc.. The men had a ticket for 3 to New York. The gate agent asked if they could help with the man in the chair and they declined help. They got him in the center seat of the plane. It was discovered the guy was dead and they were trying to transport him to New York. The cost of shipping a body is high but a ticket on the old Peoples Express was pretty low and they were just trying to transport him home for the lowest cost.

this didn't happen on the "good" airline

The story certainly sounded unAmerican to me ...

I have an airline question ... For a Continental flight from Albuquerque to Houston, the check-in agent at Albuquerque studied her computer screen and said she was going to upgrade me to first class. She gave no explanation and I asked no questions. Sure 'nuff I was directed to a seat in first class, addressed by the flight attendant as "Mr. C" and got the dinner and full treatment. Do you have any idea why that happened?
