I suppose time will tell whether IS-95C will be the canard IS-95A has apparently turned out to be.

Perhaps I made myself unclear....I have always found the argument that IS-95A was supposed to provide a 40x capacity advantage rather weak. It was a theoretical calculation....nothing more. The real world results are between 6-10x. This capacity could have been increased by 50% due to the availability of the EVRC. However, carriers (not Qualcomm) chose not to implement this until 1999.

Nextel's plan has always been to focus on the high use (480 mou) business customer rather than consumer market, evidenced by their $75 ARPU. That will change at some point, but not in the immediate future.

Hmmm...I think Nextel better watch out, PCS is moving up the food chain. They averaged around 420MOU during the last quarter....they just charged a whole lot less for it ($59).
