21st Century Alert -via -RB VYTL Thread

"So we've seen the last throes of the Sept/Oct correction for this year, and the markets are set up for a pop. We're planning on watching the optical sector closely, as a lot of damage has been done this week, both psychologically and monetarily. That means Extreme, Sycamore, JDS Uniphase, and even MRV Communications are on the close watch list. We think that there are strong moves coming from this sector -- but a lot of Hedge fund managers are now betting against this. However, another pool of growth mutual fund managers are also looking to pile right back into their favorite names. It's going to be a battleground, and whoever gets the early "upper-hand" will win. The shorts will be quick to cover on any strength, but will short again at higher levels. "

I'm wondering how quickly 9 million MRVC short shares can be covered?

Ah! I love the smell of volatility - this time favoring longs! <g>

<<If LMNE comes out and settles around, say $25 (conservative I think), MRVC will hold
$50 per MRVC share in LMNE value.

Can MRVC then trade at $40?>>
as strange as it might seem, i've seen it happen in many other stocks that have ipo'd a portion of their company... my money is betting it won't happen this time, though.
