Paul, RE: "Intel's tests show PC133 SDRAMs beating Rambus; results on Web site"

Yikes. That was a July article. If Intel is getting their act together, why are we reading aging reports?

All along Intel said that Rambus was needed when the Mhz would get cranked, that performance increases didn't show up with today's processors. Intel supported Rambus early so it would be there, in quantity, when Intel REALLY needed it. They underestimated their ability to sell something before its time.

Seems as if the biggest problem is that Intel has lost credibility with the industry as well as consumers and investors.

I am finding myself looking at quotes and press releases to see what Intel is not saying as well as what they are saying. How can the words in each press release or quote be interpreted differently?

There was a time when I felt that Intel's guidance, whether about their financial results, their products or specific roadmaps, was something I could count on.

I imagine I am not the only one who is somewhat disillusioned.
