Astralpoint deal is actually conservative at published numbers and is not an equity deal. I do love hearing that 'not an equity deal'. :) It's high time we rein in the pseudo-currency of hyper-stocks. I know you to be a straight-shooter, so I'll take you at your word. I'm a fan of the God box concept and the possibility to do instant provisioning from a GUI interface. These seem to be real advances to the black arts of the CO. That's one reason I was so intrigued by the SCMR story. And so hammered in its recent meltdown. :( I got taught a lesson about believing in the future. Here's a question for you. Recently, Velio velio.com lightreading.com announced an intriguing new set of devices. Apparently some are aimed to knock off certain PMCS and VTSS products. Is there any competitive threat to AMCC as far as you can tell? TIA, Ray
