I'm just trying to understand at what point (if any) you'll admit Microsoft has lost.

Well Charles, whether or not you see it now, we have all lost something and gained through this as well, already. The point of admittance for me would be if they were found to be guilty after full due process. I can live with that.

Of course we can expect an opposite admittance, along with an apology upon exoneration too, from the plaintiff, right? Oh sure. <g>

Mr. Tutt,
Just an FYI:

RE "or fails to reverse an Appellate decision "

In our justice system, I don't believe a plaintiff can take their case to a higher court. Therefore, if the Appellate court rules in favor of MSFT, that's the end of this egregious waste of taxpayer money.

Richard

Charles, I am sure that if the appeals court+supreme court rule against microsoft, I would consider that microsoft did something which is against the existing laws, not incorrect, but against laws regardless. Now what would you say if the courts decide in Microsoft's favor or if there is a settlement (because govt believes that its earlier attempts were misguided and that they are likely to lose in the appeals court) ?

I am just trying to understand at what point (if any) you'll admit Microsoft has won.
