This NOT a new rumor. It's been floating around ever since a European website put an RDRAM chipset in an AMD roadmap. I posted the link about 6 months ago but don't ask me to find it.
Also, doesn't AMD have a Rambus license?
All the Rambus vs AMD baloney was started because Intel trying to shove Rambus down customers throats and AMD didn't. Now that Intel is biding its time with Rambus, the whole idea of Rambus-less AMD being against Rambus is a joke...which at best, it ever was.
