Hopefully Zeev will comment on this. But if it is the way you describe, then Hitachi and NEC can arrange to sell parts to Elpida at prices that are well below actual market prices, since they are prices given by a foundry to a customer. This would mean that they would be able to pay reduced royalties to Rambus.
