I don't lie and I would not support someone who I thought was of questionable moral character. However, I believe that you are acting more naive than you are when you make the statement that you would not support a liar. I know you are smart enough to realize that Bush has told lies, including lying during the three Presidential debates. I also know that you are aware of the fact that a President's duty is to give less than full disclosure most of the time. This includes shielding secrets not only from our enemies, but also our allies and the American public itself. I know that you realize that this is a cold and, occasionally, terrible world. Terrorist strike unarmed American civilians. Nations in the middle east would like to destroy our country. You can't tell me that a reasonable person would expect the President to sacrifice this country to follow his duty to always tell the truth. I know you don't believe that.

"Al Gore knows more" on foreign affairs...The question
(Gore) has to answer is, does he have wisdom to go along with the
knowledge. Bush knows less, and he has smart people. But what
does Bush do when Dick Cheney and Colin Powell disagree? Does
Bush know enough to choose?
It's not enough for Bush to know
smart people. And it's not enough for Gore to be smart."
