While I'm awaiting your posts: Here are your words from your so-called moderate thread: The final straw in my decision was the attack ads run by an unknown third party that were similar to the "Daisy" ads run in 1964 by LBJ. I am aghast at the covert activities of these third parties ........". The media buy was made by a corporate group and the ad ran once on a cable station. Bush asked the group to pull it and they did. How do you stand on the scurrilous ads the Gore campaign is running about Bush on the James Bird situation ( two of his three killers got the death penalty and a third is in prison for life-- a cynical use of the Bird family ) and the distortion campaign regarding Bush SS plan which Gore is conducting by telephone to MI seniors? Bush has powerful allies. These people have been attempting to purchase the Presidency for Bush from beginnings of his campaign. This terrifies me. It should also terrify you. How have you determined this? What is the factual basis? Campaign contributions? If so have you looked at who WhopperAl has accepted money from? Is one group of contributors trying to buy influence better than another? You don't really expect anyone to buy your story that you are a moderate or ever even considered voting for Bush do you? Maybe your Demolib friends would buy that, but we conservatives tend to be better informed and educated. JLA
