Gore's latest promise is not to add more employees to the Federal Payroll Yeah... the funny thing is that this administration has claimed they have cut 300,000 jobs from the Federal payroll and claimed that as evidence of their "reinventing government". What they didn't choose to admit is that approx 90% of those cuts came from cutting the standing size of the military. When I see them reduce civilian government personnel rosters by 300,000 jobs, with 90% of those coming out of the IRS, or many of the other bloated government agencies, then I'll be convinced. Btw, your facts jibe with how I've looked at things over the past 20 years.
