Any way other than by trial and error of determining one's best router?

My QCharts session was still born this morning. It doesn't work and I cann't get rid of it. Thought I was going to have to re-boot my PC, but was able to kill QCharts with a soft boot. Now I'll try again to bring it up. The failed session was nominally connected to a Sunnyvale router.

Edit: Successfully brought up QCharts this time. Connected to CHICAGO-R01. Nothing's updating at this early hour, but at least the session is responding.
