1. Gore is the better prepared and knowledgeable candidate. 30 years ago they may have had similar scores on the SAT, but decades of substance abuse and a dislike for reading have taken a serious toll on Bush.

2. Bush's poor grasp of the English language negates any points he may get for just attending an Ivy League school. In any case, he was admitted because his of his family's connections and not on his own merits.

3. Bush was elected to a weak governship. His record as the Gov of Texas is so thin that you can see through it.
