An interesting thing I have seen here in our town is that when Clinton or Gore have come to town it is a VERY closed event. Tickets are impossible to get excepting selected people and insiders. There is no public rallys. There may be one public display like walking through a black neighborhood with all the democratic and black leaders but no "press the flesh" approach. They are probably never around more than 300 to 500 people.

When Bush and all other Republican leader comes to town we have a giant rally and tickets are readily available to everyone. Bush was just here and they filled, I mean filled, a giant waterside amusement area. He was shaking hands and busting with good will and enthusiasm. I have never seen anything close to really going public with the demos. Usually a meeting with their "fat cat" contributors, fill the satchel, walk a neighborhood with cameras rolling and out. They are supposed to be the populists but they are very much removed from the general public. Without going into description the opposite is true with the Republicans. They have very public rallys and press the flesh. Why is that?
