On Monday morning, with 8 days left in the campaign, the Portrait Of America Presidential Tracking Poll finds Texas Governor George W. Bush leading Vice President Al Gore by 47% to 41%.

The telephone survey of 3,000 likely voters was conducted on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday October 26, 28, and 29. The survey’s margin of sampling error is +/- 1.8 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
