I actually enjoy the Byzantine rite, plus the communion was a real pick me up with the host dipped in cognac. I liked their chanting but nothing compares to a Gregorian mass.

You defended a little girl yesterday for her belief in Wicca, why condemn others magic? A facile understanding of nature sometimes makes a person so smug as to pretend they understand completely the forces that surround us.

Who knows maybe butterflies beating their wings in Africa do cause tornadoes in the Gulf of Mexico. I believe all life is sacred even that life you don't care for very much.

The collected tales of Harry Potter don't quite have the cultural significance of a 2,000 year old institution, however, I know some 12 year olds that would disagree.

I say don't go to magic show and heckle. Neither the audience or the performer want the mystery to be solved. I think going to church is a lot like getting Siegfried and Roy tickets... I don't care for that kind of stuff, but they keep packing them in there in Vegas. I think a lot of the same people go to both places.
