When an American patriot like Merle Haggert makes a statement like that, you should know instinctively that Bush as President will move America in a direction that will make the McCarthy era look like the age of Aquarius. No, it tells me that Haggard has been hanging around Willie Nelson too much. I love Willie, but he smokes way too much reefer. Haggard is a great songwriter and he can really sing, but he is nothing but a California convict.
