Ah. You reveal yourself. Thank you. I try to post in a transparent manner. I wish that everyone did. There is such a thing as freedom of religion, which allows people to freely choose what they personally find uplifting and spiritual. As Carlyle said: "Pin thy faith to no man's sleeve. Hast thou not two eyes of thy own?" Very few people have any idea what Jesus advocated. Churches mention a bit about loving one's neighbour and are then silent. Those that do read the New Testament are presented with so many inconsistencies from Jesus that they can choose anything they wish...so they do. I do not know of anyone that even remotely follows what Jesus preached. I find it, therefore, more than puzzling, when people tell me that they follow and obey Jesus as their personal saviour.
