How's this for a tax plan:
raise income tax rates 30% for everybody and use the extra money to pay off the national debt faster? Kinda like paying off your home mortgage quicker. It may hurt near term, but when the national debt is gone, the government will reduce tax rates to where they were before.

Now, which candidate is this more likely to come from?
