Partly correct Mama. Massacre - yes. Shorts - no.

Long and getting longer all the time (to break even that is)

Well Barb, this is a LOT of fun you have all been having while I've been asleep. $2 at the low for the day. Wow! Some Halloween. The goblins, witches and fear really did come out. Not only that, I did mention a few days ago that Ramsey Su was to have a vacation in Ecuador WITHOUT a Globalstar phone. Anyone familiar with the *SUV Effect would have expected the share price mayhem.

20 million shares traded today so far, which is going to mean today is in the top 10 trading days.

Keep in mind that Halloween is only pretend for children. Thanksgiving is looming. While the longs with margin are genuinely being squeezed and that is NOT pretend, the sales of minutes and handsets matched my expectation and the growth continues On Plan with real use by real people.

The share price has finally fallen to an all-time low. The previous low being June 1995 at $3 split-adjusted [but not adjusted for a few shares issued].

Globalstar is back in the SI Hot Stock Talk list.

So, what's G! worth as assets on the block, with the service provider agreements tossed in the bin? I say a lot more than $2 a share. My guess is at least $10 a share would be left over after the creditors are paid in full after an asset auction.

10 billion minutes, 10c a minute retail = $1bn a year with operating costs of $200 million at most. 10c undercuts terrestrial cellphone costs, so it should sell easily enough at those prices. $800 million profit should be worth $20bn. Halve it to get a bargain price. $10bn for worldwide spectrum, gateways up and running, phones coming down the production lines, 10 year life for the satellites, excellent quality, data coming too.

More fun to come. Meanwhile, I guess there are a lot of white knuckles holding on to the roller coaster sides and much screaming. Enjoy your gloating! It's all part of the fun.

*SUV = Su Vacation Effect which is like the Gilder Effect in reverse. There is highly statistically significant correlation between Ramsey's vacations and market turmoil [downwards] in Q! the markets in general and now Globalstar,[presumably because he bought a handful of stock a while ago].

Here are a few companies which would like to own Globalstar, lock, stock and barrel:
QUALCOMM
Vodafone
Newscorp
Teledesic [$ill Gates]
Craig McCaw
China Telecom
USA Army
Sprint
Loral
Telecom New Zealand
