Yes, as you correctly pointed out, clearing the bottleneck in the core is only useful if you can also clear the bottleneck in the metro & ultimately the local "last mile". This FO upgrade is a LONG LONG way from being finished and if people understand how long it took the PTT's to wire up the planet with copper & systems to support it, they might have a better appreciation of the opportunity for the long-term for companies that are leading this data networking revolution.
