I actually worked on my i2 Project Network report in the car this weekend as we drove up to spend the weekend in the woods...

Great news and proof positive that there's no bot initialed BB lurking around everywhere--just incredible efficiencies of time.

Project Network, with prompting from sditto, has narrowed its focus to exploring the sustainable competitive advantage that network effects can bring. While there is an intersection with GG metrics, the dovetailing is not a perfect fit. We've all struggled--including Moore--with where companies like Yhoo fit in the GG framework. In Yhoo's case, I believe Don's report makes clear that Yhoo's sustainable advantages stem not from proprietary intellectual property in technology but from an innovative, possibly disruptive business model and first-mover advantages of scale. Both of which, in a virtuous cycle, create network effects.
