Some cable companies work faster than others, and some have already switched from old coaxial cable to fiber in a large number of their systems.
Also, it depends on what you define by "fast". To me, any company that does something in a year or less is "fast".
That would be my timeframe.
And the pressure that the company I met with will increase the need for others to move faster.

For the first time in a while, I agree with you completely. It has taken over four years for AT&T to roll out basic digital cable service in Marin.

There is no doubt that this is a good move on Conexant's part though and should be a good earner..... in 2003/2004 onwards.

So, of course, the dim bulbs are bidding the stock up in a savage down market two to three years too early. Folk never learn....
