Earlier this year, Intel approached Micron about the possibility of licensing that company's DDR-equipped Samurai chipset technology, a source close to Micron said. However, the memory-chip maker declined to give Intel an exclusive license because it also wanted to use the Samurai to support the Athlon, according to the source. ebnews.com; Joe, This is old news. Its the reason given for Intel's rather abrupt sell off of millions of MU shares.......although I think it was actually more to do with capitalizing on the phenomenal gains in MU shares earlier this year. ted
