Henry D, yes, buying AMAT LEAP calls near the Bottom is OK. The bottom in 1996 was at 21 3/4 but I bought at 23 and still got at least 20 times. The same is true in 1998 when I bought at 25 even though the stock got its lowest price at 21 9/16.
