Albert,

Current guidance in 100s of Ks so should we reasonably expect 40 mil p4s this quarter?

somewhere in-between. Intel will have a lot of unused capacity. One way to use it up is to run more P4 wafers and fewer P3 wafers.

Albert,

<intel always set a guidance that it can beat but by how much? Current guidance in 100s of Ks so should we reasonably expect 40 mil p4s this quarter? >

I would be surprised if the sales this quarter is meaningfully into 100s of Ku. My guess it is barely going to be about 100 or 200ku.

<ps unexpected bugs - now we learned to expect them from intel >

The probability of bugs is a function of time for both AMD and Intel. As the product matures the probability decreases. To be sure this is not an Intel specific issue. What makes P4 launch particularly risky is the FSB/RDRAM/power interplays that could play havoc in production environment.
