The Trannies are the real surprise today, and definitely doing a lot to temper my noontime worries about the Dow (remember Dow Theory, anyone?). I don't know about the soft landing yet; that last 50-bp doozy is just hitting the economy now. Still, it looks like the market is taking that scenario seriously, and the market has a way of anticipating things before they become clear. If the Dow closes above 10,900, I'd be mighty tempted to remove any topping patterns from the Dow chart.

Thanks, it's been an awesome couple of days. I think I've done about 15% in the last two days. The most susprising thing to come from the Nasdaq's correction would be a shift in leadership to value, which probably makes it the most likely outcome. ;-) I bet everyone expects the NAZ to lead to the upside, but I'm wondering if the tech bear lasted just long enough to take the wind out of the sector.

Broadening top breakdown on JNPR. TLAB looks interesting; it rallied despite devastation in the telecom equipment sector.

Closed right at the last thing I'm tracking that could be called a Dow diamond apex:

Need to take out 10,900 to pronounce it healthy.
