Based on Verizon Comm. CC, capex for this year is
18 billion, higher then originally reported, but supported by cash flow,
and for the next year will be slightly
higher.
Huge emphasis on revenue generated by new technology: xDSL, which
deployment is at record level!!!
(the same reported by SBC Comm.), wireless and internet.
Now, it is obvious were most of capex will go, taking into account huge
demand for services generated
by the next generation networks.
As for Lehman action today, he was also concerned about JDSU one day before
Q results were released, and
this most speculative firm was 100% wrong , like in many cases over the
last few weeks.
They seems to contradict what companies report and guide.
