Mixing together polls of with varying margins of error and varying methodologies yields a result that is not statistically significant and innacurate. Reuters poll, because it is complied through the use of trained statisticians with consistent methodology through the sampling and compilation process will be much more accurate and precise that your hodge podge method.

Mixing together of polls is what all the statisticians are doing now! Polls serve to either confirm each other or to bring each into doubt if they disagree. Reuters is placing a lot of weight currently on the Rogby 9 state tracking poll! Reuters is only placing states into each column if they are sure. Because the race is coming close to an end I have started placing some of the closer states into each column. If you have followed me closely you know I have moved FL from Bush to Gore, MO from Bush to toss-up, PA from toss-up to Bush etc. Once a day until election, I will look at each of the states again to see if any thing has changed and adjust accordingly. I will make my final prediction before the polls open on election day. I invite anyone who wants to try to call the electoral college to post their prediction by state on this thread. We will see who will be closer on election day. My goal is to beat the media on their predictions on the eve of the election.
