I think this is kind of a paper launch.

Agreed. I think AMD should have worded it differently. This should have been more of an announcement of the chipsets with information about it and some demo boards.

Calling it a product announcement is stretching it. I hope Micron doesn't get burned. I personally would not mind terribly if I had to update BIOS or drivers, but you can't expect it from general public.
