Joe,

re: < I just checked the Micron site, and unfortunately, they don't offer Windows 2000 on for this model. It's strange. Wouldn't you expect this for a top of the line model? >

I wouldn't worry about it that much for now. Micron Athlon/DDR systems are going to be at low volume for this quarter. Once DDR SDRAMS, 266MHz DDR FSB, AMD 761, and the mother boards volumes start picking up; we may see Athlon-DDR systems with all sorts of configuration.

Joe, I also wanted to get something other than Office SB and change the modem to a 100/10 ethernet and they wouldn't do it either. I believe Micron has a policy of limiting changes.

Joe,

The reviewers said that drivers for win 2K were not available yet.

As i think about it.

This is more of an intel 1133 type of release.

Except there is a lack of drivers.

So perhaps it more of a k5 style release.

regards,

Kash
