point well taken. it still pisses me off how some idiot self serving b* saddled the nation with the current program - all for temporary political gain. sure, let's send a check to filthy rich old people that NEVER contributed a dime in their lives! now that is really HELPING people, right? social security s/b welfare for the elderly, pure and simple. poor folks should get benefits and rich folks ought to thank their lucky stars. the middle class / lower class shouldn't have to pay $$$ so steve forbes gets a check every month. it also pisses me off that they keep raising the max social security tax level every time i get a raise! anyway, enough peeing on the pork barrel.
