That is a ridiculous statement. Mainly the last part. We are so far from having fiber to our homes, even fiber to the curb, that it's not worth worrying about or even plugging it into the equation. It's years, no a decade away maybe even that is too soon, before it will happen, in the mean time the combination of cable, xDSL, and wireless should fill the gap nicely.
