Well in a blind effort to figure out how these analyst calls work, I just wrote this on the G* thread.

OK now let me get this straight. ML makes these special public service announcements to help out those who
don't own the stock or
those who own the stock or
those that want to own the stock or
those who are short the stock or...

I mean really. The main issue is money here. I am wondering what ML gets out of this "ZERO value" call. This ain't to help the unwashed. So I can only suspect that they either have a short position (or their clients do) or the want the stock cheap. What other possible reasons could there be? Either way we need to take such public pronouncements with a very large grain of salt forgetting the issue of if they are right or not. And considering that...would they possibly be looking for a good rep for doing this? I doubt it. If they were going for that kind of thing they should have zero valued the company back at $50 when we were in worse shape.
