I think that valuations were indeed overly inflated, and there were a lot of worthless stocks out there that had valuations that they did not deserve. I believe that this correction, however painful, is healthy for the markets for the long term.

Greenie should have seen the bubble, he is the responsible party. The liquidity that the fed provided in anticipation of Y2K is what fueled the bubble (IMO) and if he had come to Cheeky and I, he would have known that the y2k threat was nearly non-existent. My understanding is that the fed has been net draining of liquidity and this draining has certainly slowed the market down.
