Interesting....entirely possible also. Applies not just to the wall walker group either and they all do impact stocks. Clearly, traders sometimes react without investigating.

world that Intel is dropping Rambus, without having talked to either company, first ?

you take a story, dated yesterday, from a questionable source, and go with it on the air ?
no confirmation. no quotes from the companies themselves ?
you took Rambus down 17% with that garbage.
then Costello comes on trying to cover you, saying
"we're working feverishly to try to confirm..."
right. it was 4am in California, at the time.
you should be ashamed of yourself for falling for that.

good bet you'd have checked first, on any unsubstantiated rumors concerning GE.

and you guys were first to pat yourselves on the back, for not being first with the Emulex hoax.
credibility is such a fleeting thing.

you've got to stop this business of giving credence to the notion that you're nothing more than a pretty face.
