I'm in. Stock price is too cheap to resist.

My reasons are as follows:

- regulators will force ILECs to open existing lines to DCLECs for a much reduced price.

- Cable modem competition is heating up and the ILECs are forced to deploy DSL [even though they don't want to since they liked their monopoly status]

- VZ needs the expertise.

- VZ stock price accelerating and can afford to pay change for NPNT

- VZ can develop DSL outside their markets where they have no current marketshare

-NPNT expenses are cheap compared to VZ doing the same function in house with union issues and overheads. VZ can't hire contractors so this is the next best thing.

-NPNT will change modes and focus on selling into the more lucrattive business market abandoning the residential marketplace to increase margins.

- Various underfunded dclecs will fold, IMHO NPNT will survive because of VZ funding. Fewer competitiors will exist several months from now.
