I still think SEG is a good buy because I see good growth rates for Veritas. SEG was a scalp that ended up lasting a heck of lot longer than I wanted it too, but I like the growth in the storage sector and I think VRTS is well positioned against EMC.

I also still like some of the old traditional economy stocks -- GM; DIS; Walmart. It think AT&T might be a good short and so might LU. New economy stocks I think have to be chosen with care and forethought -- ORCL; SUNW; and (yes even beaten down INTC) all seem good buys at this level...

I think Lawrence Kam, William Epstein, Stitch and I used to refer to the accounting manuevers that SEG and the other Disk Drive makers continually play from quarter to quarter. Its a tax lawyer/accountants dream come true -- but an investors nightmare...
