Another buy like Microsoft was at 50 dollars?

The relatives of the US folks who sold Microsoft at 48 are apparently selling Sony (SNE) now at low prices. It is down 15 percent in about a week, mainly due to the fact that "LAST quarters results were bad due to heavy investments in the Playstation 2"... HUH?

This seems like another no-brainer. In short order, Sony is coming out with a new laptop using the new chip, a new handheld to compete with Palm, and new "dog robots" for the Christmas season.

Are the Japanese THAT dumb to look at yesterday's investment in the PS/2 as a negative, when the benefits are to be found going forward?

Microsoft's book value grew 45% this past fiscal year. I got my copy of annual report yesterday. Take a look at page 28 and look at Total shareholder equity (book value). It grew from 28.438B in fy99 to 41.368B in fy00 - eye catching 45% growth. This is why I remain solid long term bull on this company. Make your research and see what is under the hood.
