Good to have you back from sabbatical. Thanks for posting those URL's. Interesting how an article about mounting personal consumer debt shows photograph of a person yammering away on a cell phone. Jesus.

What is remarkable to me about the UK articles is the tone - how these consumers are shocked - shocked I tell you - to discover they are in over their heads. Why aren't these poor souls protected from this sort of thing?

And I suspect you're right, it's comin' home to roost in the US as well, and yes, Slider, Christmas retailers should stock up on coal.
