I will gladly accept decelerating growth rates over next four years
e.g. 80% then 78% then 76% then 70% (fiberopt generally)
e.g. 40% then 38% then 37% then 35% (DWDM specifically)

if that is cause for cutting FO stocks in half, then the issue might better be Houses in accumulation

I don't think anyone has. Everyone is trying to forecast it, though. They have to do that because the companies won't tell them until it is too late.

As I've said over and over, ad nauseum, there has to be a reason SDLI and JDSU are expanding their manufacturing capacities by factors of 4X and 5X across all product segments.

To be the Devil's Advocate: for the same reason the chip manufacturers do, leading to their cyclic booms and collapses.
