Frankly I was surprised to see the downgrade. Usually analysts wait until earnings. I can understand that 3rd qtr won't be much to write home about, but do agree that 4th qtr and afterwards ELBO should do quite well (especially since they make most of their money off of games and accessories......as new games are released....many scheduled for 1/16/00 and afterwards.....this and the growing installed based should drive revenue and earnings).
Maybe this Zimmerman has a short time horizon.
I don't expect this earnings report to be much (given Sony cut back on PS II for the launch), it was a fear of post earnings sell off (and crappy volume at PS II launch) that caused me to trim back.
While I've got cash on sidelines, I wouldn't buy back until after earnings, however after earnings (even if crappy) I would expect ELBO to begin to look at reaching higher ground.
