i don't like the concept of turning a dollar into 50 cents. when you do the math, you cry. at least i do.

15% of all your wages are traded for a small social security check that i may never see? how is that a good program? pretty soon we'll be paying 20%. then 25%. this program is so good, why don't we pay 100%? we didn't use to pay 15% and they have NEVER cut ss tax. NEVER. they really increase it every years.

forget stigma. these programs s/b about talking care of the less fortunate and letting the others keep their money. nobody will be checking the mailbox. they spend cash. nobody would know. it is a big ponzi scheme and would be ILLEGAL if you tried to start up your own program.

i don't mind losing money to pay for a down and out person to have food and heat. i do mind paying for bill gates. i don't want a dime from anyone (unless i'm down and out).

ss was a blatant political ploy to buy votes.

gee, aren't we nice guys? we'll give you free money. vote for us. gotta like that.

first law of economics. tanstaafl. "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch." first law of holes. when you find yourself digging a hole for yourself, put the shovel down.

nobody has the courage to address the real issue. but i don't have to like it.

EITC will rebate FICA taxes to qualified 'taxpayers' probably without affecting their SS contributions statement. The rebate is approaching $ 4000.
