Tax rates alone do not make a calculation of tax. They must be multiplied times taxable income. Simply comparing rates is misleading. To say that only Republicans are name callers is not facing reality. What a sorry campaign to attack W's intelligence, especially when he outmatches Gore in every objective measure of intelligence that I have seen. High taxes will not ultimately reduce the deficit - they will create a drag on the economy - and it is already beginning to show.
