But I really believe the entire industry is just about to invert on this inflection point. What's basically happening is that a "new" way of perceiving the world around us is taking hold. The problem for Microsoft, Sun, Oracle, Novell and others is that this perceptual transformation isn't going to be gradual. For it's inevitable. For there's nothing more to fight and compete for anymore. From here on out, the power of technology will invert to a FREE service infrastructure model. All that's left in marketing and development reverts to SERVICE - ie. how can we reach out and open up to help/serve individuals and developers in ways that attract them to our paradigm/network of service?? What we're talking about it the commoditization of basic core net service infrastructure in ways that finally allow INDIVIDUALS - not just companies, etc. - to get their hands around it and begin signaling their light/energy/interests globally/universally. Microsoft, Sun, Oracle, Novell et. al. have to invert their business models into SERVICE models. This will require that they understand - ie. "get" - the fundamental basis that's drives the REAL Internet: INDIVIDUAL ENERGY. I view this as a transformation of bandwidth into intelligent - "always on", always aware - switches, filters, object containers that are always oriented to interact with the world in ways that massively begin to leverage the INDIVIDUAL'S ability to act from a position of empowered service to add energy, trust and value to others. Instead of focusing on these "they gotta come to us" NOT.COM platforms that derrogate the power and energy of the individual, the entire technology world is going to radically and totally invert to this "new" empowered perception that focuses on leveraging the growth and development of these INDIVIDUALLY-CENTRIC virtual/vertical service networks that promote, disseminate and distribute new knowledge/wisdom/mastery pies that just keep growing and spreading virally. Get used to it: 1) business models that were driven by control and power are collapsing. 2) service models that are driven by individual energy and freedom are beginning to thrive and expand. Every INDIVIDUAL will become a potentially wide-open source of inspired, value-added content: stories, references, referrals, testimonies, links, intelligence, music, hope, energy, light, love. This New Wave of SERVICE is a radical force of individual ENERGY. This is the Tsunami that's been driving the Internet. This, not Amazon or any other intermediary, is the real McCoy. For those of you who haven't visited Walter Payton's Roundhouse in Aurora Illinois, I strongly recommend that you do. This Roundhouse has become a metaphor for Walter's timeless personal energy, light, compassion, goodwill and love. But the fact is that EVERY individual can create his/her virtual Roundhouse - an open, frictionless IP router of energy, light and love if you will - through which the entire universe can clear these massive, timeless rivers of personal energy, light and love through. This is where the world is heading. From here on out we are all going to look upon this NOT.COM phase as a quaint, distant memory - the last of the illusions of the Old model of Business which focused on money which will all be discredited. So, who's going to OPEN UP first?? It won't be long. Sit back and watch. Peace. GO!!
